Josemari "Josi" Alves (born January 31, 1979 in Itapema ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player .
Career
Josi Alves has been playing with various partners at national and South American tournaments since 2001. In 2014 and 2015 she formed a duo with Elize Maia . Josi made her first appearances on the FIVB World Tour with Val Leão in 2015 and 2016 , but without much success. With Fernanda Alves , she reached the quarter-finals for the first time on the World Tour 2016 at the major tournament in Poreč , in which the Brazilians lost 2-1 to the Canadians Bansley / Pavan . At the end of 2016 Josi started with Thati Soares at national tournaments.
Lili Maestrini has been Josi's partner since 2017 . They made a successful debut with a fifth place at the FIVB 5-Star Tournament in Fort Lauderdale . On the World Tour 2018 , Josi and Lili achieved several top ten placements: ninth in Warsaw , fifth in Lucerne , fourth in Mersin and victories in Nantong and Nanjing .
