Georgina Klug (born June 11, 1984 in Santa Fe ) is an Argentine volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Klug has been playing indoor volleyball since 1997, first at her home country Regatas Santa Fe and later at various Argentine clubs, most recently at Banco Nacion Ramallo, where she became Argentine champion in 2008. The outside attacker then continued her career in Europe, playing in Spain, Italy and most recently at VC Weert , with whom she won the 2011 Dutch championship and cup. She then returned to South America and played in 2011 in Chile for CD Universidad Católica and from 2012 to 2014 in Argentina for Mar Chiquita Voley. Klug also played 46 times in the Argentine national team , which won the bronze medal at the Pan American Cup with her as captain in 2008.

Career Beach

Klug has also played beach volleyball since 2012, initially only in South America alongside Silvana Olivera and Natali Flaviani. Since June 2013 Klug has formed a new team with Olympic participant Ana Gallay . On the continental tour they almost always reached the finals in 2013 and 2014 and they also had some top ten placements on the FIVB World Tour . They won the gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto . Gallay / Klug were able to qualify for both the 2015 World Cup in the Netherlands and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but were eliminated after the preliminary round. Georgina Klug ended her international career in June 2017.
