Silvana Olivera (born August 5, 1984 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine volleyball player .

Career

Olivera left her Argentinian homeland for Spain at the age of 18 and began her career as a professional volleyball player at JAV Olimpico Las Palmas . In the following years she stayed in the Spanish league and played for Marichal Tenerife , Club Voleibol Aguere in San Cristóbal de La Laguna and Xacobeo 2010. The outside attacker won the double of championship and cup in 2006 and was again Spanish champion a year later. After a brief engagement with the German second division club DJK Augsburg-Hochzoll , she went to Turkey to Dicle Üniversitesi Diyarbakırspor . From there, Olivera, who also has Spanish nationality, moved to the French association Pays d'Aix Venelles . In 2012, the outside attacker was signed by the German Bundesliga club Allianz MTV Stuttgart , but had to pause there because of an ankle injury. In the 2013/14 season she played again in France for Quimper Volley. In 2014 she moved again to the Bundesliga for the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg . Since the end of her career in 2015, Silvana Olivera has been working as a personal trainer and sports teacher.
