The Club Voleibol Tenerife was a Spanish women's volleyball club from Santa Cruz de Tenerife , who played in the Spanish Super League.
history
The CV Tenerife was founded in 1981 and played in the Spanish Super League from 1987. The women dominated the league from 1990 and became Spanish champions in 1992, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, there were cup wins in 1991, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. CV Tenerife was a top team in Europe too, and in 2004 they won the Champions League . The team also competed under the sponsor names “Afelsa Tenerife”, “Marichal Tenerife”, “TuBillete.com Tenerife” and “Fígaro Peluqueros Tenerife”. In 2011 the association was dissolved due to financial difficulties.
