Natália Dubovcová (born July 5, 1990 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak beach volleyball player .

Career

Dubovcová had her first international appearances in 2007. With Kristiniková she reached 17th place at the U18 European Championships in Brno . She also played with Daniela Hradecká at the World Youth Championships in Mysłowice and finished 29th. The following year the duo came in ninth at the U20 European Championship in San Salvo . In 2009 Dubovcová won the national championship with her current partner Dominika Nestarcová . Internationally, the new duo first appeared at the Masters tournaments in Gran Canaria and Berlin . Shortly afterwards, the first open tournaments followed in Stare Jabłonki and The Hague . At the Junior World Championships in 2009 and 2010 as well as at the U23 European Championships, Dubovcová took on alternating partners. At the 2009 World Championships in Blackpool she was ninth with Andrea Dudikova and a year later she came 17th in Alanya with Zuzana Sajmovicova. At the European Championships, however, she climbed from 17th place in 2009 in Jantarny with Barbora Forgachova to ninth place 2010 in Kos with Miroslava Kuciakova. In the same year Dubovcová / Nestarcová successfully defended their title as Slovak champion. They also contested their first Grand Slams in Moscow and Klagenfurt . In 2011 they were regularly represented in this tournament series. In addition, Dubovcová repeated with Kuciakova in Porto the ninth place in the U23 European Championship.

In 2012 Dubovcová / Nestarcová qualified for the first time for the "big" European championship in Scheveningen and finished ninth. She also played numerous Grand Slams on the FIVB World Tour with a fifth place in Gstaad as the best result. The following year she was fifth in Rome and Long Beach and ninth in São Paulo at the 2013 World Tour . At the World Cup in Stare Jabłonki they reached the second round, in which they were eliminated against the German Borger / Büthe , and finished ninth. The EM in Klagenfurt ended for them in the first knockout round against Brzostek / Kołosińska . At the 2014 European Championship in Cagliari , they had to admit defeat to Borger / Büthe again in the second round. On the World Tour , after finishing ninth in Berlin, they won their first medals as third in Stavanger and Long Beach. They achieved further top ten results at the 2015 World Tour as ninth in the Prague Open and the Stavanger Major and fifth in the Grand Slam in Moscow. At the 2015 World Cup in the Netherlands , the end came in the first main round against Humana-Paredes / Pischke . Then they narrowly missed a medal at the European Championships in Klagenfurt when they lost the bronze medal against Brzostek / Kołosińska.

On the World Tour 2016 Dubovcová / Nestarcová finished ninth in the Open tournaments in Vitória and Antalya . At the EM in Biel / Bienne they lost to the German duo Laboreur / Sude in the round of 16 . Two weeks later they were third in the Grand Slam in Olsztyn. In July 2016 Dubovcová played four more tournaments with Nina Herelová .

Since 2017 she has formed a duo with Andrea Štrbová . On the FIVB World Tour , Dubovcová / Štrbová achieved ninth place in The Hague (three stars) and 17th place in Olsztyn (four stars) in their first tournaments . They also played the tournaments in Siófok , Mersin and Vaduz . In early 2018, they played a five-star tournament for the first time in Fort Lauderdale . Their only top ten result on the 2017/18 World Tour came in third at the three-star tournament in Mersin. At the European Championships in 2018, they were eliminated from the group last in the preliminary round. The two Slovaks also took part in the tournaments of the German Techniker Beach Tour 2018 in Münster and Dresden , where they each came fourth.

At the World Tour 2018/19 Dubovcová / Štrbová came fifth in Qinzhou and Kuala Lumpur (each with three stars) as well as The Hague (four stars). Then there was ninth place for them in the four-star tournaments in Itapema and Jinjiang . They also qualified for the 2019 World Cup in Hamburg .
