Schießwiese forest sports park
The Waldsportpark (also: Schießwiese Waldsportpark and Heimstättensiedlung sports and leisure area ) is a park in Darmstadt .
The forest sports park is a park-like sports and leisure area on the southern edge of the Heimstättensiedlung. The park borders the city forest.
History and etymology
The park was created from 1979 on the site of the former shooting range. Since 2011, the eastern part has been the annual venue for the nationally important Darmstadt Cross , which previously had its home in the Lichtwiese landscape park .
