Mold arch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Schimmelbogen is a term used in printing technology for an accidentally printed sheet only on one side .

This usually arises from the fact that the sheet feeder pulls not just one, but two sheets of paper lying on top of one another into the printing machine. This way the lower sheet remains unprinted.

If these waste sheets are not noticed when printing the back or later with the bookbinder , the reader will find blank pages in their reading.
