Battle of Guinegate

The following clashes are referred to as the Battle of Guinegate , a French village in Picardy:

  • The battle of August 17, 1479 in the dispute between Archduke Maximilian, later Emperor Maximilian I, and King Ludwig XI. of France for Burgundian possession, see Battle of Guinegate (1479) .
  • The battle of August 16, 1513 as part of the Holy League against France, when Emperor Maximilian I and his allied King Henry VIII of England again defeated a French force, see Battle of Guinegate (1513) .
