Battle for Guam

During the Pacific War there was a battle for Guam several times :

• Battle of Guam (1941) in which the Japanese army captured the island from the United States.
• Battle of Guam (1944) , in which the Americans retook the island.

The United States also captured Guam from the Spanish in 1898 in the Spanish-American War. However, since there was no fighting, the event is known as the Occupation of Guam .
