As impact characteristic in which is archeology a feature referred to a stone, a human processing by means of a specific stroke technique suggesting. Striking features are especially important in prehistoric archeology because stone tools are often the only legacy left in the earliest periods of human history . Strike features are used to identify stone artifacts and differentiate them from geofacts .

One differentiates:

• Impact waves or wave rings (also: Wallner lines )
• Lancet jumps
