Snake cross

Snake cross

The snake cross , also known as the snake head cross , is a common figure in heraldry .

This figure exists in two different variants. A cross is shown, the four cross arm ends of which terminate in a snake head or in two snake heads (double snake cross ). The tongues of the snakeheads are colored differently .

This difference should be mentioned in the description of the coat of arms . A common cross is preferred. If there are two heads on each arm end, they do not look at each other.

Like Othegraven, the Huyn family had the cross in their coat of arms.
