Tubular scarf worn as a bracelet

A tubular cloth (also a buff after one of the most famous manufacturers) is a multifunctional cloth that can be worn on the head, neck or arm. It consists of a square piece of elastic fabric, usually patterned or otherwise colored, with two opposite sides sewn together to create a "tube of fabric". With today's manufacturing processes, however, modern textile processing is more likely to be used. The multifunctional towels are made from one piece without seams.

application

The tubular cloth was designed for runners , cyclists and motorcyclists , depending on the application, mainly to protect against the cold. For the extreme area there are also special towels that are processed with fleece . The scarf can be used as a neckerchief, scarf, bracelet, headband, hair band, balaclava or headscarf.

In the NVA , a hose scarf was part of the standard equipment of a soldier and was known as "Grandma".
