The sling board , also known as the teeter board or Korean sling board , is an artistic seesaw . Artists use this construction to throw people into the air. Acceleration is achieved by jumping one or two people from a platform onto the free end of the sling board. It is used both for the one-time spin and subsequent landing on a mat or other artistic gymnastics device, as well as for repeated, alternate spin with landing on the board.

The sling board consists of a relatively elastic board about three to four meters long. Oak wood is used for strong sling boards. The pivot point is in the middle of the board at a height of 50 to 100 cm. Flatter sling boards are primarily used for repeated alternating slings, while higher slings are primarily used for one-off, particularly high slings. There is a square, padded base at both ends of the rocker. The artist is standing on a sloping surface.
