The Auhof (Pupping) Castle is located in the same district of the municipality Pupping in the district Eferding of Upper Austria (Auhof 1).

history

The building was erected from 1899 to 1902 by the landowner Ottokar Saradnik (Zahradnik). The architect was LR Becker. The builder died in 1935; then the property came to his son. When he died in 1939, the property came to Karoline Greiter.

Auhof today

The building, known as the manor house, has two floors and is reminiscent of an English manor house. The building is located in a landscaped garden surrounded by a wall. A number of farm buildings belong to the property. There are statues and fountains in the castle park. A group of figures made of terracotta of a dolphin embracing a female body was intended for a water feature, but this was not implemented; now it decorates a terrace.

The building and park are privately owned and not open to the public.
