Valeria Straneo (born April 5, 1976 in Alessandria ) is an Italian long-distance runner. She holds the Italian record in marathon running . In 2013, the mother of two won the gold medal in the half marathon at the Mediterranean Games and the silver medal in the marathon at the World Championships.

At the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich , she won the silver medal in the marathon in 2:25:27 h.
