The mansion by the pond

The Schloss Behringen was in the middle of the village Behringen the pond Municipality in the Ilm-Kreis in Thuringia .

history

The manor village was first mentioned in a document as early as 780 to 817. The manor , the pond and the manor house , also called the castle, shaped the face of the village and the economy until 1945. After the end of the war , the castle was torn down. Only the surrounding farm buildings were preserved. Only with the construction of the Arnstadt-Saalfeld railway did the economic structure in the village change.
