Dresow Castle

The Dresow Castle is the ruin of a castle in the Polish Dreżewo , West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The place was the family seat of the von Karnitz family for centuries. In 1804 the property was acquired by Heinrich Victor Sigismund von Oertzen and Friedrich von Jasmund. In 1828 the owner of Dresow and the nearby Karnitz was the Szczecin merchant Wietzlow. In the 1830s the village was separated from the manor and farming land.

From 1874 the von Bonin owned. The castle was built in 1863, but burned down in 1890 and was rebuilt in different ways.

The castle is in ruins today. Ginkgo and sweet chestnuts grow in the nine-hectare landscape park .
