In 1640 the estate encompassed next to the castle and a Grange , a forge, several stables and a fountain.

history

The castle was probably originally owned by the family of the Lords of Graz, from whom it went to the Ehrenfelsers who were related to them . In the 14th century, Hintenfeld Castle was loaned to the Kapfensteiners by the Ehrenfelsers. From the Ehrenfelsern it later went to the Kraiger von Kraigk and was referred to as their fiefdom in 1575 and 1635. The Kraiger lent the estate to the Weissenecker family, who are related to the Kapfensteiners, and later to the Lengheimers. The castle was owned by the Lengheimers until 1585. After the Kraiger died out at the beginning of the 17th century, the feudal rights to the castle and estate passed into the possession of the sovereigns.

Due to accumulated debts, Siegmund Friedrich Freiherr von Gleispach had various Lengheim property pledged, including Hintenfeld Castle. David von Lengheim leased the estate around 1683. He managed to redeem it from the pledge until his death in 1640. In the same year the value of the property was estimated at 2,850 guilders . David von Lengheim was inherited by his widow Regina, who however sold the castle to Johann Jakob Lew in 1643 because of high debts. Lew succeeded Martin Lichtenheimb in 1647. Franziska Queriga von Paar made claims to the property because the sovereigns owed her money, but these were rejected. In 1652 the emperor lent the castle to Maximilian Polykarp von Lichtenheim. In 1675 Lichtenheim's heirs sold the estate to Georg Adam Graf Lengheim. It remained in the possession of the Lengheim family until it was demolished in the middle of the 18th century.
