Schleinz Castle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Castle Schleinz in the Lower Austrian municipality Walpersbach is located at the southern edge of the cadastral Schleinz on no. 10th

The small classicist castle was built in 1770 and from 1772 was the manor house of a paint factory founded by Ignaz Oberdorfer. From the middle of the 19th century, the owners changed often. The castle was used as the directorate of the Wiener Neustädter Canal . The castle then fell into disrepair until 1945 and was restored by the current owner, Rudolf Graf Czernin.

The two-story, cubic building has a high hipped roof with a small turret. A representative columned altane is presented to the main front .
