As early as 1688, a “Seelamtsstiftung” of Elisabeth Klara Zehnerin von Thallhofen, widow of Lorenz Zehner, local carer, is known. The Landschlösschen itself was built in 1717 by Johann Benedikt Zechner von Thallhofen, chief toll collector. As the owner are: Johann Benedict Zechner (1717-1730), Josef Zächer of Sunstone, kk District and District Chief of Traunkreis (1771-1798), Franz and Michael Plank (1798-1813), Franz Plank (1818-1825), Daniel Bauer, Ferdinand Bauer and Emma Berndl (1825–1841), Maria Anna Bauer (1842), Kaltenböck (1959).

Thallhofen was a castle-like baroque building with a particularly rich gable design.

Thallhofen today

In city maps of Linz Thallhofen led the designation Untere Vorstadt 148 (1771-1801) and Untere Vorstadt 39 (1801-1812). Later, Kaisergasse 9 is given as the address. This address no longer exists today.

During the Second World War , the stone figures in the palace park were bombed and then removed. The lock itself was broken off. In this area of the city, there are buildings with apartment and commercial buildings.
