Scribble

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A scrap paper , rag , used for rapid, written fixation of information , similar to a sticky note .

While occasionally napkins and smaller pieces of paper , e.g. B. Notes, are used to hold information, the scrap is in the real sense a free sheet of paper at least on one side. The term scribble is also used for quickly created texts , to-do lists, etc. in digital form.

Often pages that are printed on one side but no longer required (so-called waste ) are deliberately put aside as scratch paper for later use. In companies , such paper is sometimes identified by removing a corner (the corner of the staple ). In libraries or archives , such pages are often cut into smaller formats and made available to users as notepads. In general, when using printed paper as scratch paper, it is important to only use paper that does not contain any data subject to data protection or any other confidential information.

An informal concept paper during school or state exams is also known as a scratch sheet. The examinee can write notes here that are not included in the assessment of the examination. The smear sheet will still be handed over to the proofreader for checking with the examination documents.
