Cutting masking film

The Schneidemaskierfilm also red or Ulanofolie serves to figurative and rectangular cropping of images in the reprophotography and reproduction technique . The cutting masking film consists of a red foil and a transparent base. The cutout masks are lightly scratched into the red foil with a scalpel so that the base is not cut through. The red foil is then removed from the transparent areas. The actual release takes place in the contact copier by post-exposure of the negative or positive to be released with the help of the release mask and a register bar.
