A quick or advance correction is the premature correction of a performance record , for example a supervisory work at the university . Its purpose is to be able to inform the examinee of an examination result earlier than other students .

Special reasons must be asserted for the candidate's entitlement to a preliminary correction. This can be, for example, the necessity of the examination result for an application for study funding according to BAföG or the intention to change a study location, for which the examination result must be submitted by a certain deadline .
