Walter Lichtenberger

Walter Lichtenberger (born March 31, 1906 in Idar ; † August 28, 2000 in Idar-Oberstein ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Lichtenberger studied law in Tübingen , Munich and Bonn . He passed the first state examination in law in 1928 and then completed his legal clerkship at courts, administrative authorities and a lawyer. After the second state examination in law and the doctorate to become Dr. jur. he worked from 1932 to 1940 as a lawyer in Idar-Oberstein. In 1945 he resumed his legal practice, and since 1949 also as a notary.

Political party

After 1945 Lichtenberger joined the Christian Democratic Party (CDP), which later became the state association of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate .

MP

Lichtenberger was initially a member of the Advisory State Assembly in 1946/47 and then from 1947 to 1955 a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament . Here he was from 1947 to 1951 chairman of the legal and procedural committee.
