Schober (unit)

Schober was a German piece of straw in Nuremberg . For the term bundle or sheaf, the term die Schütt was often used (bills, statistics). The bulk or bulk straw was a bundle of bound, threshed (not broken, Upper Bavarian the Schütt) long straw.

  • 1 stack = 60 bundles / sheaves of straw
  • 1 Schöberlein = 10 bundles / sheaves of straw

For Austria :

  • 1 sickling = 2–8 sheaves
  • 1 dock = 8–15 sheaves
  • Lower Styria : 1 Huntas = 24–25 Schöber / Schober hay
