Schtärneföifi was a five-piece Swiss band. It was founded in 1995 and became known to children with its quirky lyrics by Kopf Boni Koller in Swiss dialect . In 2007 they released their first album with high German versions under the name Stern 5. In 2018 the group broke up.

history

In German-speaking Switzerland in particular, the band achieved a high level of awareness for the song "Heicho - ohni Znacht is Bett", which is not least due to the television appearance in the quiz program "Risk" in 1995. In the first version from 1994 Gerda and Kathrin Treml were still there, Adrian Fiechter not yet. The surprising success of the piece led to the formation of the band.

With the Dixie Cups from New Orleans, which inspired the song with Iko Iko , Schtärneföifi recorded a new version in 2009 - again in Swiss German. From 1996 to 2017 ten CDs with around 160 songs were created. In December 2018 the band gave the last concert in Davos.
