The German vaccination guideline or guideline of the Federal Joint Committee on vaccinations according to § 20i paragraph 1 SGB V regulates according to § 92 paragraph 1 sentence 2 No. 15 of the fifth book of the Social Code (SGB V) the right of the insured to benefits for vaccinations. The recommendations of the Standing Vaccination Commission (STIKO) at the Robert Koch Institute in accordance with Section 20 (2) of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) are taken into account.

The guideline also stipulates the information and education obligations as well as the details of a vaccination certificate.
