Guard door monitoring
In the case of protective door monitoring , mechanical switching elements or inductive proximity switches either prevent the protective door from opening or the machine is brought to a standstill by an emergency stop signal. The monitoring also prevents the machine from starting when the door is open.
The international standard ISO 14119 as a replacement for EN 1088 will regulate the design and selection of locking devices from mid-2013.
