Schwarzbau

As Schwarzbau one is building referred to, which was built illegally because, for example against requirements of the construction law violates a building permit is missing or has departed from the latter coarse. It is partly possible that illegal buildings are legalized afterwards or have to be demolished due to an official order.

Germany

The term is not legally defined in Germany , but is used regularly by German case law. Black buildings occur both indoors and outdoors . One can only speculate about the number of illegal buildings in Germany. Some black buildings are tolerated - sometimes subject to conditions imposed by the supervisory authority , for example in the form of a ban on changes to the building.

An example of a tolerated for decades and finally legalized subsequently, greater accumulation of illegal construction in Germany, the majority of war refugees and expellees built Trinkl settlement in Munich.
