Swiss development cooperation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The service for technical cooperation was founded in 1960, and in 1961 the office of a delegate of the Federal Council for technical cooperation was created. The service was subordinated to the Federal Political Department (EPD, today FDFA) and worked together with the trade department, and from 1968 with the Federal Office for Foreign Trade (BAWI, today integrated in seco). In 1977 it was renamed the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DEH) and in 1996 the Directorate for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
