The Swiss Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SGPP) is the national professional association in Switzerland for the promotion of psychiatry and psychotherapy . The SGPP is a member of the Association of Swiss Doctors and the World Psychiatric Association . Its seat is in Bern .

The Swiss Society for Psychiatry emerged in 1895 from the Association of Swiss Psychiatrists , founded in 1864 .

The SGPP is the holder of the NPO label for Management Excellence .
