from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA) was founded on April 4, 2006 . The SSPA is an association that represents the common interests of issuers of structured products.

The young service industry of structured products has recorded enormous growth rates in recent years and is now assuming dimensions that are of economic relevance. With an investment volume of over CHF 341 billion (as of July 2007), Switzerland is the world's largest market for structured products.

Together with the derivative associations of Germany, Italy and Austria, the association intends to set up a joint umbrella association. This should represent the interests of the industry in Europe.
