The Basel Swimming Club is one of the largest swimming clubs in Switzerland and, with all its divisions, is a nationally recognized performance base. The first men's team of the club plays in the national water polo league A.
The swimming club of both Basels offers the four Olympic disciplines swimming, water polo, triathlon and artistic swimming. The club organizes youth and international competitions, water polo games, artistic swimming competitions and triathlon competitions.
history
The SVB was formed in 1993 from the merger of the earlier clubs, Schwimm-Klub Basel (founded in 1919), the Neptun Basel swimming club (1924) and the swimming section of the Old Boys Basel (1922).
