Water bird
As waterfowl different are birds of unspecified unrelated groups referred, often swimming to be found on or in the water and to such adjustments webbed have on your feet:

- the grebes
- the loons
- some railing birds such as B. the coots
- Rudders like the pelicans , cormorants and darters

- the penguins
Even seabirds such as the alkene , tube-noses , boobies , Fregatt- and tropic birds and shorebirds such as gulls and terns have webbed feet and are good swimmers, although they are not usually referred to as waterfowl.
In addition, there are individual songbird species with a water-loving way of life that can swim and dive for food, such as different types of dipper , potter birds and scissortails .
