Scouts Musulmans de France

Scouts Musulmans de France (Muslim Scouts of France) (SMF) is a Muslim scout association in France. The association is a member of the French umbrella organization Fédération du Scoutisme Français and beyond that of the world associations World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and World Organization of the Scout Movement . He is also a member of the International Union of Muslim Scouts. The association was founded in 1990 by Sheikh Khaled Bentounès , the spiritual leader of the Sufi Alawiya brotherhood . The seat of the around 1000 member association is Noisy-le-Grand .

Khaled Bentounes is officially the "Teacher of the Great Alawiyya Order". Cheikh Khaled Bentounes lives in France and works as a writer, educator and speaker. In 1990 he founded the first Muslim scout association in Europe with the Scouts Musulmans de France and is now honorary president of the Association of Muslim Scouts and Girl Scouts in Germany (BMPPD). The Scoutisme Français supported the establishment of a Muslim association and accepted the organization as a full member in 1995. SMF knows four age groups, with four individually formulated scout promises. The SMF's outfit consists of a green shirt and age-specific scarves.

The association is recognized by the French government as an educational association and organizes educational projects across the country. Active membership is possible between the ages of 8 and 21.
