Seán Kenny

Seán Kenny (born October 1, 1942 ) is an Irish politician and former member of the lower house of the Irish Parliament .

Kenny, who has been a member of the Dublin City Council for the Irish Labor Party since 1979 , held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1991 to 1992 . During his tenure, Dublin was European Capital of Culture in 1991 .

In 1992, Kenny was elected to the 27th Dáil Éireann after he had previously run unsuccessfully several times. He kept his seat in the Dáil Éireann until 1997, when he did not succeed in being re-elected.

Kenny is married with two children.
