Adulation

The incense is literally the swinging of a censer for religious purposes, also called incense .

Transferring is adulation for derogatory praise the same from other people added , will therefore heard or read, and serves a purpose. It is often easy to see through. The praise can be self-praise , then one also speaks of self-adulation, or something or someone is praised, of which the praiser expects something later.
