Flame retardancy
As flame retardancy , the property is referred to a burning substance, after removal of the ignition source to extinguish independently within a short time, that is not weiterzubrennen. Such substances are also labeled with the attributes flame retardant or self-extinguishing . In Germany, the term usually refers to DIN 4102 and the fire behavior of textiles , plastics or building materials .
