Send processing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The playout is part of a television or radio station , the stockpiled contributions for a specific schedule starting from different machines or live sources switched on the air.

The sequence of the contributions and the assignment to certain signal sources are entered into a computer (“transmission route” or “transmission sequence”), which then switches sources on air at the right time using a crossbar (starts tapes or starts contributions from a server) and fades from one source to the next.

As a rule, logos and fonts can be added in the broadcasting process for television and picture and sound parameters can be checked and changed. TV shows, unless live, are usually as MAZ tapes before ( broadcast tapes ). Fully digital broadcast processing, on the other hand, stores posts on broadcast servers .

Occasionally the transmission processing (SAW) is also called control room or source and control room , or main control room .

Workers in broadcast processing are called broadcast technicians.
