Sink bridge
A sink bridge is a movable bridge with a vertically movable track. In contrast to the lifting bridge , the driveway is lowered into the water to clear the way for ships.
The Corinth Canal has a sink bridge at each end. Here, the roadway is lowered to a depth of 8 meters using cable winches.
