The Service-Bund is a group of owner-managed companies in the food wholesale business with 4,000 employees and more than 300 specialist advisors, a customer base of over 80,000 and a turnover of around 1.178 billion euros (2019). The headquarters of the Service Bund is in Lübeck . The 30 shareholders of the group operate almost 40 locations nationwide. As a food service company, the Service-Bund offers its customers from the catering, hotel and communal catering sectors, in addition to a full range of foods, other services such as support in marketing campaigns and training offers for customers.
history
The Service-Bund was founded in 1973. It was founded through the merger of several food wholesalers as well as large consumers from the catering and communal sectors. While the merger originally came about for shopping-oriented goals, the Service Bund, which is now represented nationwide, emerged from it. There are currently 31 shareholders in the Service-Bund (2018).
National key accounts (hotel groups, system catering etc.) are looked after by the subsidiary Service-Bund National. As a member of the European Catering Distributors (ECD) interest group , the Service-Bund is also involved throughout Europe.
The Service-Bund is committed to the profession of chefs by supporting several competitions, such as Top Trainer of the Year, Chefs Trophy or its own cooking competitions. The Service-Bund is also involved in the national team of chefs in Germany and complements its commitment with its own customer events à la Campus for culinary friends. The chefs and industry supporters from the Service-Bund customers are offered an event with lectures and workshops by highly qualified speakers.
Products
The Service Bund's product range includes fresh goods, frozen food, dairy products, dry products and beverages. In addition to around 41,500 articles from contract suppliers , over 1,200 other articles are now offered under the Service-Bund own brand Servisa . Other own brands are ServisaPrime , Rodeo Ranch Quality , Mermaid , Burger Craft , Salva D'Or , Sourcer and Gastrovinum .
