Service d'action civique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Service d'action civique ( SAC ) was a ( de jure ) non-profit association in France from 1960 to 1981 . He was in the service of General de Gaulle and his Gaullist successors and can be seen as a kind of unofficial security force who had pledged allegiance to the general as bodyguard after his return to office in 1958 . Leading organizers of the SAC were the politicians and former Resistance members Charles Pasqua and Jacques Foccart .
