Seskarö (Finnish: Seittenkaari) is an island belonging to Sweden in the Gulf of Bothnia in the Haparanda archipelago . The island belongs to the municipality of Haparanda and has been connected to the mainland by a road bridge since 1978. About 500 inhabitants live on the island, and there are also many holiday homes. The village includes a school, a sports area, the Wärdshus restaurant and a campsite (only open in summer). The sawmill, which was important as an employer, has been closed since around 2012.
