Sextus Graesius Severus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated September 28, 157 shows that Severus was 157 commander of the Ala I Hispanorum Auriana , which was stationed in the province of Raetia at that time .
