Shōjo no Tomo ( Japanese 少女 の 友 , dt. "Girlfriend (in)") was a Japanese manga magazine aimed at children, especially girls, and therefore belongs to the Kodomo or Shōjo category. It was published by Jitsugyō no Nihon Sha from 1908 , making it the first magazine of its kind. The reason for the establishment was the success of the Tōkyō Puck magazine by Kitazawa Rakuten , which had been published very successfully for adults since 1905. The year before, the same publisher had started the magazine Shōnen Puck aimed at boys .

From 1938 to 1940, the successful series Kurukuru Kurumi-chan by Katsuji Matsumoto appeared in Shōjo no Tomo for the first time , which was later to be continued in other magazines. In 1955 the publication of the magazine was stopped.
