ShadowServer Foundation
The ShadowServer Foundation is a voluntary association of computer security specialists from all over the world that monitors botnets , malware , phishing activities and the like.
The foundation founded in 2004 takes on the following tasks:
- Collecting malware
- Analysis of viruses, worms and Trojans
- Monitor and report on recent attacks
- Monitor and report on current botnets
- Publish information about cyber crime
- Coordination of emergency measures
The information collected is available free of charge in a variety of statistics. The declared aim is to improve understanding and ultimately to contain cybercrime .
