Shahab-1

Shahab-1 (German: Komet-1) is the first short-range missile modified by Iran . It is based on the North Korean Hwasong-5 , which in turn goes back to the Russian R-17 . The Shahab-1 was developed sometime between 1988 and 1994 with support from North Korea . The successor to the Shahab-1 was the Shahab-2 . Currently (as of 2018) Iran is said to have 250 missiles of this type.
