Shiro Games is a French video game development studio based in Bordeaux . The company was founded in 2012 by Sebastien Vidal and Nicolas Cannasse and is best known for its Evoland game , which was developed during the 24th Ludum Dare ( Game Jam ).

In 2013, Shiro Games announced that it would develop a game called Until Dark , which Shiro Games described as a "cooperative exploration game" set in a vast and mysterious world. In 2014, Shiro Games announced on the game's official website that development of the game had stalled due to a lack of satisfaction with the current game design.
