Sieberg scale

The Sieberg scale , named after the German geophysicist August Heinrich Sieberg , describes the strength of submarine earthquakes on a six-part scale . Similar to the Mercalli scale, it is based on macroseismic observations.

II Slight shaking of the ship
III Jerky shaking of the ship
IV Ship begins to sway
V "Groan" of the ship, larger objects fall over
VI The hull is damaged, risk of sinking
