Borsigwerk settlement
The settlement Borsigwerk ( Polish : Osiedle robotnicze “Borsigwerk” w Zabrzu ), named after August Borsig , is a partially preserved residential colony of the Borsig company in the Zabrzer (Hindenburg) district of Biskupice (Biskupitz).
Workers' settlements emerged during the period of industrial growth. The Borsigwerk settlement was built between 1863 and 1871 for the miners in Upper Silesia .
The settlement is registered as a monument zone in the city's list of monuments.
